Aave2026-08-26 22:57:12Aave opens early access to iOS app for savings product, keeps Android and web users on waitlistAave began opening its iOS mobile app to early users on Wednesday, moving its consumer savings product into an early-access phase while Android and web users remain on a waitlist. Aave founder Stani Kulechov said Ghost Pass lets users invite friends to skip the line. The app is positioned as a savings product that supports deposits from bank accounts and stablecoins, with users able to link bank accounts and debit cards. Its stablecoin wallet currently supports deposits and withdrawals on Arbitrum. Funds deposited through the app generate yield through public lending markets, where assets are supplied to lending pools and interest paid by borrowers flows back to depositors. Aave Labs said in July that the iOS waitlist had about 50,000 registered users. The company describes the app as self-custodial even though it includes login and recovery features similar to fintech apps. Its terms say private keys for embedded wallets are generated and stored locally, while Aave Labs does not hold user assets or keys and uses smart account abstraction for wallet setup and gas management. The launch also ties into Aave’s retail distribution push after acquiring Stable Finance in October 2025.960
FOMO2026-08-24 12:08:53FOMO Denies iOS App Hack as Trader Claims $6 Million in Crypto LossesProtos reports that a trader accused a FOMO iOS app update of causing about $6 million in crypto losses, citing a case involving 662 SOL worth about $62,000. FOMO co-founder Prashan Dharmasena rejected the claim and said the account in question never signed a transaction through FOMO’s fee payer. The original allegation came from the X account Derivatives_Ape, while the transaction itself appears to be real on Solana. Dharmasena repeated the denial to at least two other accusers. FOMO also pointed to its self-custodial design and its security documentation, which says the app cannot access, move or freeze user funds. The company’s iOS app remained live in Apple’s App Store at the time of writing.2490
